Re: APPL & FB - Where is the value proposition?

I heard today that APPL has 30% cash or about $35,00/share in cash. One analysts I listen to said APPL could Buy DIS and still have a lot of cash left over. The speculation was that would deliver APPL an instant media network for their proprietary eco-system.

I believe FB has almost an equivalent amount of cash. To me the value proposition in both companies is how do they deploy that cash to sustain their future growth.

These cash reserves are so huge that either company can Buy their growth through acquisition. I know FB will bite the bullet and spend what is necessary to maintain their moat but will APPL open up their check book.

I really like the idea of APPL buying a media company and DIS would be a a big surprise to the market if it could be done at all. I believe Steve Jobs estate is the largest DIS shareholder. Who knows anything is possible.
