A couple of months ago, we told you about Joshua Woodward, the former restaurateur who was arrested in October 2009 after secretly giving his pregnant girlfriend the labor inducing drug, misoprostol.
He pleaded no contest to attempted murder, and feminists should’ve been fine with that, because hey. He didn’t want his baby. So what? It wasn’t a life anyway. He just got rid of a fetus. No biggie.
Except not. On Friday, he was sentenced to nine years in prison.
“Do you really not understand what you’ve done to me, yourself, your family? You took my choice away,” his ex girlfriend Gail Greaves said.
He took a life. Simple as that. But I just find it interesting how this is all playing out. I’m not so sure if he was sentenced to nine years in prison because he murdered a baby, or “took a woman’s choice away.” Like, if Greaves decided to hit up Planned Parenthood and terminate her pregnancy, well that’d would be awesome. Feminists would praise her for exercising her choice. But this? No bueno.
“I get to see you sitting there right now with no remorse,” Greaves said. “You are a sick, sick individual, and you are disgusting.”
Again, I wholeheartedly agree with that assessment. He’s human waste. But why don’t we call abortion-happy feminists the same? Sure, they don’t secretly drug women without their permission, but they still encourage them to abortion their baby, happily conduct the procedure and God only knows what they do with the baby parts after. (Landfill or Lamborghini?)
I just don’t get it. If the woman wants the child, it’s murder. If she doesn’t, it’s a reproductive choice.
Talk about inconsistency. |
