Luxor Industrial unit wins $2.8-million contract

2016-02-03 08:11 ET - News Release

Mr. Terry Lashman reports

LUXOR AWARDED TURNKEY FRAMING CONTRACT BY EXXEL PACIFIC, INC.FOR CITY CENTER APARTMENT DEVELOPMENT

Luxor Industrial Corp.'s subsidiary, USA Mill Fame LLC, was awarded a $2.8-million turnkey framing contact by Exxel Pacific Inc. for a 347 multifamily unit complex in downtown Seattle.

The city centre contract is Luxor's third contract in Washington state in the last 30 days. Earlier the company announced the signing of two turnkey framing contracts with Venture General Contracting LLC, based in Seattle. Luxor's three contracts have a total value in excess of $5-million (U.S.) or $7-million.

Luxor will be supplying all framing materials, including prefabricated walls and precut and packaged engineered floor systems, produced at its nearby manufacturing facilities in Abbotsford, B.C., in addition to on-site labour.

In January, SBC Magazine published a story titled, "As Housing Heads Higher, Builders Worry Most About Labour." Steve Conboy, president of Mill Frame LLC, stated, "Luxor's ability to prefab certain components not only addresses the problem, it allows the company an advantage in securing contracts."
