blue: I know 'bout Shiner :-)

Can't think of it without hearing Robert Earn Keen in my head. And it's good beer. Not as hoppy as I prefer these days, but around a lot longer than any microbrew, and as good as ever.

I've had some good times in Gruene, and my old New Braunfels grill (charcoal, of course) is still my favorite ever. Mesquite chips are nothing like picking up fallen bits of tree from the back yard (while making sure toddlers don't go poking fingers into the fire ants) like I did then.

If Dallas or Houston gets to the Super Bowl, there would be no other choice. Except Lone Star, for sentimental reasons (it was the best beer I could get back when I was in Wyoming as a 19-year-old and Lone Star was the best beer, cough, that I could get from the drive-through liquor store). So I would probably have to get both :-)

Not holding my breath on that front, though.

Looks like I might miss the first part of the big/corporate game/event ... two of my kids want to go skiing at the Pass that morning, and won't be finished until close to kickoff. And it's my weekend to drive after two when my lovely wife took an overdue turn. With little at stake in rooting terms, I'm willing to man up and take the wee ones. Maybe do a little XC mice elf.

Now y'all know where to find me before the game starts :-)
