*** SparQ performance update ***
These are the results after taking 5 informal tests of EIDE SparQ and a few PP SparQ.

I estimate EIDE SparQ avg DTR in Win95 will be around 2 to 3 MB/s
Here is the results I got...
- 1.1MB/sec 7.8mb in 7sec (Win95???)
- 1.2MB/sec (by Nelson H Potter, the person who first posted the EIDE result in SYQT thread, thanks again) 4 files, 24.6MB in 20.5 sec (Win95??? xcopy)
- 2.1MB/sec 2 files, 23MB in 11sec (Win95A with dual-fifo enabled)
- 2.53MB/sec 38MB in 15sec (Win95B xcopy)
- 3.9- 4.1 megs/sec (reported by WinTune benchmark program, VXPro Motherboard with VIA drivers)

For the PP SparQ, avg DTR is around 800K to 1MB/sec with one rare case of 2MB/sec.

Overall, the SparQ generates very good reviews in the usenet. The problem is that it is hard to get because production is still low. I still haven't seen a SparQ at any retail store in Winnipeg, Canada.
Anyway, I decide to buy a PP version of SparQ myself. If price is similar between Jaz and SparQ, I will choose Jaz over SparQ because it is more popular (at least for next 12 months) but right now SparQ is the one I want.

Happy New Year
