A couple of general thoughts:

1. If mkt goes, it could really go. VIX and NYMO nowhere near levels to support stocks.
2. Utilities really strong. Some will scream safety buy but this was first group to rollover.
3. I suspect healthcare could lead any resumption of uptrend as stupidly oversold.
4. Jobs data actually very solid last week. Very nice wage growth. Nowhere near recent lows. High figures always followed by low figures - volatile series. Stupid reaction.
5. Janet looks super stupid. Good luck with testimony.
6. So far weak economic growth limited to energy and strong dollar exporters
7. Mfg measures are very awful but concentrated with limited weak sectors - nothing like this ever before
8. Economies with strong consumers just do not roll over. Consumers are very steady with solid expenditures and very delevered balance sheets among highish for US savings.
9. This guy is scary good :

cnbc.com

Lastly but most important, dollar index peaked a while back. Most causes of the US earnings recession are dollar or energy related. We have lapped dollar stuff. Dollar subtracted 3-5% from rev growth btw. Corporations are in pretty solid shape. Buybacks buybacks buybacks.
