He may have been granted US citizenship upon subsequent return to the US, by virtue of the place of birth of one of his parents (not the other), but this does not make one a "natural born" US citizen, as stated in the constitution as required to hold the highest office in the land. Cruz is "a Canadian anchor baby", according to Trump.
