The article I quoted didn't mention the shift information, but I find it hard to imagine someone only running a multi-billion dollar factory 8 hours a day, and leaving it idle for 16 hours.

We should try to get confirmation from Maxwell, Specialist or Yousef, but unless someone presents another argument, you need to go with 24 hours a day minus downtime for maintenance and troubleshooting.
