Your conditions appear to be pretty close to what Irwin considered to get the ridiculously high numbers Trump quoted... No exactly. For one thing some of those figures were for employed people. They were separate figures for different conditions, not meant to be added up. You add them all up and you get 100%. Or really more then 100% since people could be in more then one category in some cases. Are they now considered unemployed??? Not by most measures but U-6, total unemployed, plus all marginally attached workers, plus total employed part time for economic reasons, as a percent of the civilian labor force plus all marginally attached workers. bls.gov Shadowstats' unemployment numbers might include them as well, but I'm not certain.
