Sam, OT ** your reasoning also makes sense. If negative interest rates take hold and stay, centuries of financial thinking would have to be up-rooted. Saving would be discouraged. Workers might get their pay checks early. Spending it all the day they get it would be seen as a virtue.

This actually happened during the hyper-inflation in the early 1920s in Germany. I was told money had to be spent the day you got it because it lost value by the hour. en.wikipedia.org



Maybe that's why gold is suddenly moving?
