Socialism is a terrible economic political system. Poverty has always been the normal state of the vast majority of humanity. It's free market capitalism that has raised living standards around the world. Ordinary people in America have things that were unimaginable for even kings and queens in centuries past. Over the last century, real world experiments involving divided nations (Germany, Korea, Taiwan & Hong Kong v Red China) have been run and shown that socialist command economies run by government officials fail while systems with freer markets produce wealth.
Liberal ideas don't work in practice. They're based on a faulty view of human nature and mostly accomplish allowing liberals to feel virtuous without doing anything virtuous. Liberals are not an intellectual or moral elite in our society. If anything, they're often below the norm in both categories.
The world isn't in danger of overheating due to CO2. If anything, the long term climate threat humanity faces is the next ice age. Human use of fossil fuels and nuclear power has made life better.
The traditional moral teachings of Christianity aren't designed to oppress women or anyone else or to keep people from having fun and fulfilling themselves. They're guardrails designed to keep people from running off the road of life. The more you can live according to traditional morality, the fewer divorces, fewer broken families, fewer neglected fatherless children, the fewer STD's, fewer drunks and dopers, fewer welfare recipients, etc we have. While there are bad things that happen by the luck of the draw (cancer, accidents), most of the problems people have are brought on themselves.
Punishing crime is a good and necessary thing. It's not mean. It sends a signal to people who might decide to engage in crime. The more crime there is in a city or neighborhood the worse life is there. So law enforcement is actual social justice and police are the true "social justice warriors." When police are hounded into neglecting their job, you destroy cities, as is happening in Baltimore and Ferguson right now.
A strong offense is really the best defense. Obama has bent over to ingratiate himself with the wicked rulers of Iran. The result is they're in a stronger position and more determined than ever to hurt and humiliate the US. There WILL BE a penalty to pay for Obama's appeasement of Iran.
