YM: System test came from Window on Wall Street software. Your longer term time frame is enviable- I do not have the patience for holding 6 months. The market now is in a downtrending/sideways pattern so long term buys are few. Your analyses are correct- You will enjoy software. One needs a data provider ( most seem to pick Quotes Plus or TC2000) and charting software( Metastock, Window on Wall Street etc.). I am reading Visual Investor ( xmas present). Murphy nicely puts the basics in words. hoping 98 will bring you Youth and vigor. andy
