The trouble with low interest rates is it makes it hard for banks to make any money. thisismoney.co.uk as if I cared -g- How hard is it to "manufacture" (the words used by the banking biz) a loan? Geepers, is it so much harder than manufacturing real goods in a competitive global market, mining stuff, or growing food? "Central bankers are a cool and measured breed, always insisting they have new tricks up their sleeve. Yet investors cannot shake the uneasy feeling that the people who have made it their business to nurse the global economy back to health are running short of ideas." I think they need to be evolved out of the system. Maybe a global currency could do that for us.
