You got me thinking about that again so I went to sedar and counted up (roughly) the outstanding shares and warrants that were issued at 20 cents and 2 cents for GLH insiders and seed investors. The number is a little disconcerting at 59 million total warrants and shares issued at those prices. That is one huge pile of cheap paper. It makes what is happening with share price a pre ordained occurrence. That paper will be a drag on price for months yet.
I thought bottom might be in but after counting those up I am not so sure. If they cant sell out this financing and come back saying they raised three or four mil of the 10 they are looking for we may see another big sell off. It is definitely not the sure thing that some were leading people to believe.
Another negative about that whole industry is that they have already started slashing prices in Colorado to try and carve out a little piece of the pie. Marijuana grows like well, a weed, and there will always be more supply than demand. Once the scores of growers get into full production you will be able to buy weed for .99 cents a gram. Oil will be flowing like draught beer and will also see huge price competition. Turning a profit in the industry will be just as difficult as it is for any company. As a past horticulturist I am very aware that there is a cost to produce a pound of dried ready for market weed and current sale prices in Colorado are not far above that cost. Guess who has the lowest weed prices in the USA though , that would be Oregon , home of GLH.

Despite a strong marijuana culture, Colorado is surprisingly not the state with the lowest marijuana prices. At $204 for an ounce of high quality cannabis, Oregon is the state with the cheapest weed – almost half the cost of an ounce of marijuana in North Dakota, where prices are the highest in the country at $387 an ounce.
