The World will use the cheapest energy form. If climate change is real and caused by the use of fossil fuels. Trying to reduce the per capita use of oil is only kicking the can down the road a bit. Because the growth in population will out consume any drop in use by the existing population. I don't drive 1 mile less. Air travel destinations are expanding, Rail roads are exploiting the lack of pipelines. That is in N/America. What about world wide. This green agenda of Obama's faces opposition from the Republicans. The Paris accord will not pass. Mitch McConnell Gov. of Kentucky doesn't even want Coal mining shut down. Every Republican nominee disagrees with Obama's stand. They prefer jobs punishing the American economy. All the front runners have stated they will undo every executive order put in place by him. The US is responsible for over 26% of all green house gas pollution. Yet it has less than 4.5 percent of the world population. And they are polluting more with the fighter jets in the wars they instigate in order to sell arms. China is developing and growing their economy with oil just like the US did. The big push to green by the US is an effort to slow China which is about to become the next trading giant. Controlling the world economy just as the US has since it was awarded Reserve Currency status. Already Obama's friend Iran does not want to be paid for oil in US dollars. If you or anyone else thinks Africa, Ethiopia Bangladesh, or any other third world country is concerned about the use of oil. They need to wake up. A bit of Climate warming would be good for Canada. It would lengthen our growing season and let us become a bread basket of farms giving competition to California and Arizona. Only we have plenty of Water close by. The only way to slow the use of fossil fuels is to get rid of the population in the regions that are breeding like rabbits. Instead of brining them here as refugees. The other day some of those refugees Trudeau brought in declared.. We have no respect for and will not honor Canadian laws if they are contrary to the Quoran. I left the military just after the Cuban crises. I taught new recruits about NBCW. (Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Warfare. Sand turns to glass at 3000 degrees. A nuclear explosion generates 10,000 degrees. That whole troubled over populated mid east region is desert. Perhaps they need to drop a few big ones and serve up ISIS like Pheasant under glass. The collateral damage would considerably lessen the world population and in turn the use of fossil fuel in the area. You don't have to worry Nature will eventually lessen the population to where the climate stabilizes.
