As Tesla has a "no acid" environmental policy would it not be more prudent for posters here to investigate ZEN's acid use before spreading dreams about ZEN being Tesla's only choice for graphite? Also ZEN will need to prove commercial viability in order to move on to the promised land and I am surprised there is not a call here daily to put pressure on ZEN management to come up with the $1.6m metallurgy money recommended in the PEA and solve this metallurgy issue so shareholders truly know where they stand. Instead of expending energy shooting the messengers wouldn't it be better to admit that by making these important issues taboo you are doing the shareholders more harm than good ? Has anyone ever called ZEN about the met issues and reported back saying this is the plan going forward from here?

This was stated:

"I think that the caustic bake will not be included in ZEN's final production flow sheet. HCL will only be used to purify the graphite tossing caustic bake cutting down the CAPAX."

I suspect that a little more reading should have been done. (if any was done at all)

The purification was done with the caustic and sulphuric acid. The HCL was chosen to neutralize (as necessary) the mix that was left. The two acids have very different properties and uses, and now for some reason the HCL is also doing the work of both sulphuric and caustic.

It just doesn't work like that - it could be that the chemists working for SGS know a little teeny bit about purification work. Maybe even years and multiple decades of knowledge and experience.

- Simple chemistry as it applies to numerous deposits of graphite - not just this one.

Good luck and fare well.
