This has yet to be seen. I have not heard of any independent lab testing concerning the compatibility issues.

BTW, if Iomega does succesfully fix their drives, does this mean that old Zip discs will be rejected? Will they include some new security feature in the drives that current discs do not already have? This whole mess would not have happened had Iomega taken care of business the first time around.
