re: "Darbes, are you speaking financialy? please explain." Yes! I do not have as much money as I used to have. Other than that, all is ok. Perhaps this comes under the heading of whistling as one passes the cemetary but I take the absence of an earnings warning from AMD as a positive sign. One might come on Monday but it is unlikely since the entire company is closed down for the holiday and such a warning would have had to have been put on autopilot prior to the holiday. Of course the expectation for negative results is already out there. One positive and possibly grossly undercalculated factor is that Fab25 has been operating at fullest capacity for the last two weeks of this quarter when it was previously scheduled for a holiday shutdown. This may have a material impact on the earnings that are to be reported. There are admittedly two possible reasons for the special holiday hours: 1. continuing yield problems or 2. healthy demand for for every chip they can produce. This thread could use a positive surprise. Regards, DARBES
