Winning battles and losing the war: My opinion of the SC results

Trump got the most votes and thus won the battle. Trump's problem is that he got all the votes on a percentage basis he ever will. All the people who will vote for Trump already are voting for him. He can't grow. And the classless attacks he and his Trumpers launch on all the other candidates, who he will need as potential allies, make that a certainty.

Yes, I'm telling you: Trump is winning the battles, but losing the war.

Rubio will inherit Bush's (Bush already endorsed Rubio) and Kasich's voters (with Kasich holding on only long enough to establish himself as Rubio's VP). That's Kasich's mission now, to cement his position as Veep.

Cruz is the best man in the race and he'll inherit most of Carson's support in time, but I can see that won't be enough.

Trump's supporters are giddy but they can't see the future. The only way Trump could win now is if he could somehow team up with Cruz, Carson, Kasich, somebody and bring in their supporters to his team. But because Trump is Trump, Trump getting any other candidate to swing their support to him is unimaginable. I'm a Cruz guy and if I saw Cruz swing his support to Trump, I'd lose my respect for Cruz. I'm sure the supporters of the other candidates see it the same way.
