"I am not a Christian I am a Jew that believes Yeshua (Jesus) is the Messiah..."
Alan Markoff from post *9867 ------------------------------------------------------------------ The Lord Jesus created a new nation in one day when He rose from the dead. He brought forth the righteouness and redemption He had promised the true Israel of God. He gave a new name to his new creation, he called them Christians after his own name. The God of all mankind opened the doors of salvation and sonship to all men. God's universal salvation continues to upset those in modern Judaism who want to remain exclusive contrary to the New Covenant.
There are many Scriptures in the Old Testament Prophets that prophesy about God giving His choosen people a new name under the New Covenant.
---------------------------------------- (This new name is clearly Christian--the name taken from our Lord Jesus Christ. The Christian people are truly the anointed people of God)
1: For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth. (Jesus is clearly the fulfillment of this prophecy.) 2: And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.Is. 62:1-2 (This new name is clearly Christian--the name taken from our God) ------------------------------------------
15: And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name. ( The names of Talmudic Judaism and modern Judaism have become a curse to all the people of God. Modern Zionist Israel is the most antichrist and evil nation on the face of the earth because it is based on denial and hatred of Christ.) ----------------------------------------------------- (Christian--the people of Christ--is that everlasting and honorable name. The name Christian will never be cut off because it is the name of our eternal Saviour and Lord)
5: Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off. Is. 56:5 (Christian--the people of Christ--is that everlasting and honorable name. The name Christian will never be cut off because it is the name of our eternal Saviour and Lord) ------------------------------------------------------ (Peter was not ashamed to be called a Christian--the new name that Christ Himself gave us.)
16: Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
17: For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel;
(Peter was not ashamed to be called a Christian--the new name that Christ Himself gave us.) -------------------------------------------------- (Paul was not ashamed to preach the Gospel and call upon new converts to take on the name of Christ!)
28: Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian. Acts 26:28
--------------------------------------------------------------------- 26: And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch. Acts 11:26 (Here, God fulfills his promises in the prophecies.)
12: Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
(How do God's chosen people overcome but by the blood of the Lamb, the word of their testimony,..Christians overcome the world by the name of Christ. In a sense, Christians are branded with the name of God.)
All glory and honor and power to God our father, to the Lord Jesus Christ and to the Holy Spirit. He is faithful and true to his Word. He has brought forth a New Jerusalem and the Daughter of Zion--the Christian people created with his blood and named after His own name--Christ's-people( christians). For 2000 years the Kingdom of God has been established in his Christian People--His Holy Body on the earth today. The Christian people are the chosen people and the Israel of God under the New Covenant. The old covenant has passed away and is dead. Talmudic Judaism is trying to resurrect the old covenant in the lust of their minds. They want to return to the beggardly elements of Mt. Sinai and the sons of the flesh. ------------------------------------------------------------------
If one wholly believes in the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, there is nothing but salvation, peace, glory and honor in association oneself with the God given name of Christian. Peter and Paul and all the early Jewish Apostles and disciples gladly took the new name that Christ had purchased with His Blood. If these early Jews who were the foundation of the Christian Church--Jesus being the chief corner stone--were not ashamed of their New Covenant name, why are modern messianic Jews so offended by this glorious name that God has given to His New Zion--the Daughter of Jerusalem.
Also, since all of the early Jewish Aposltes and disciples and their families (probably over 100,000-200,000) left newly formed antichirst Judaism and joined themselves to the newly, Christ created Christians Church, why are the modern Jews who accept Christ so reluctant to follow the example of our early Jewish Aposltes and disciples and call themselves by the honorable and Scriptural name of Christian? Why is there such an urge on their part to go contrary to the early Church and the early example of these Jewish saints of God who founded the Christian Church. The tens of thousands of early Jewish Christians gladly became part of the Christian Church and did not count it a lost to leave the newly formed antichrist modern Judaism, but rather counted it a blessing to leave this evil and count themselves among the newly formed Christian people. |
