First Voted Out----- I think his mistake was in not explaining himself. He should have told his tribe before the vote at tribal counsel: "I am a good swimmer and worked at a pool as a lifeguard. But I never used a dive mask and never swam in salty open water. I thought my swimming skill from the pool would transfer so I volunteered, but it didn't occur to me that the mask would be knocked off when I jumped in since I had no experience with masks. I was trying to help the tribe and thought this was an situation where my skills would be valuable, but I failed. I want to point out that there will be more water-based challenges and I am an excellent swimmer who just wasn't familiar with the mask so in future water-based challenges I will be valuable to the tribe. I'm sorry I screwed up but I think that you wouldn't regret giving me another chance." -----But instead of explaining himself he sat there looking sullen and seemed to be a person who had falsely claimed skills he didn't have. A failure of communication and social skills.
