wars end as do their costs, social programs in the USA are unstoppable and grow forever.
According to Bernie Sanders (and Hillary Clinton version 12.1), social programs in the USA are actually good for the economy. Cause you know, a strong middle class forms the foundation of a strong, healthy economy.

Hard to argue against that logic until you look at the results of every single socialist society out there. "Share the wealth" instead becomes "spread the misery."

And the rich keep on getting richer, except they now have the benefit of a strong, centralized government to preserve the status quo.
