| | | | At the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame inductee dinner, published Feb 11th, 2016, Robert Friedland stated he will soon announce a new discovery (see comment at 1:20:24): youtube.com This prompted me to look at recent corporate activity, by Robert and one of his private companies, HPX (High Power Exploration). The company that currently stands out is Cordoba Minerals (CDB.V), now essentially a Robert Friedland company. Cordoba initiated a deep "Typhoon" IP survey early Q1 2016 and is currently drilling to test at depth, the Alacran Cu-Au skarn spatially associated with the Miocene age "Montiel" cluster of porphyries. See page 19 here: cordobaminerals.com Could the Montiel west and east porphyries be apophyses of a larger, deeper system also responsible for the Alacran skarn? If so, it will respond to HPX's "Typhoon" deep IP survey which will outline size and depth, providing focused drill targets. Montiel itself will be drill tested to depth, 2nd quarter 2016. Further info on HPX's Typhoon IP system and the HPX-Cordoba deal can be found here: hpxploration.com. release of drill results for Alacran are anticipated for March 2016. I suggest following this closely to see if preliminary deep drilling indicates the possibility of a tier 1 Cu-Au porphyry discovery. If it does, there would be a good chance for a very very large and rapid increase in market capitalization. I have taken an initial position and may add, subject to results, market conditions and response. Note: CDB.V has had a very strong move today, Feb 22nd. |
