No Death tax in Italy, Norway or Sweden.
Property taxes are a fraction of those of at least CA, don't know the rates for the rest of the US, since we only lived and owned a home in San Diego, CA.

Food prices in Italy are ridiculously low for food, which in freshness and quality knocks the socks off anything found north of the Alps. Switzerland, top quality - at top prices, for just about anything.

Power prices are high in the EU, highest in Denmark with Germany a good 2nd.
Low in Norway and Sweden.

Property prices are high in Germany but quite moderate to low in Sweden for instance.

In health insurance France leads the WW pack (!) with Italy a good nbr. 2. Of course all of same n/c for any registered resident.

I am talking about places I live or have lived for an extended amount of time, so all based on personal experience and/or knowledge.
