Greg,

About a year ago, quite a few analysts from Wall Street and a whole gang of folks on this thread were expecting AMD to make a lot of money by introducing the K6. Well, that never happened as we all have discovered. What went wrong? They did not anticipate Intel would engage in a vicious chip war. Now, we all know Intel is going to strike back at all cost. Then, the two scenarios I have compiled do not paint a rosy picture for AMD in the months to come. You need to present arguments to counter my analysis.

AMD did survive very well under the leadership of Jerry so far. This company is even less dependent on x86 market than Intel. So, I do not think it is going bankrupt any time soon. However, a personal Jihad-like war against a company he probably despises so much would continue to drain the profit out of this company. What happened to the Captain and his Ship in the story of Moby Dick?

John.
