I have always been a fervent "Free Trader." But politically, that is not believed by the hourly earners. Trump knows that to get the blue collar workers he needs a tariff, an immigration stop, and a Muslim stop. In my mind, his celeb plus these three issues are why he is leading. If he gets us out of the economic mess we are in by getting rid of regulations and business taxes and production goes up, the dollar will increase in value enough to overcome the tariff. Since he is going to win, IMO, we will see this if this happens.
