I have been tempted from time to time to reshuffle from 15 to 5. All of the new 5 would be in the T. Rowe Price Family. I'd put the IRA money in Price Equity Income and Spectrum Income. I'd use midcap growth and smallcap growth for taxable accounts (college fund with > 5 years to go) and divide the international portion between International and Emerging Markets. It's a solid fund family with low expenses and minimums. If you arrange an autoinvest plan, the minimum is 0.
Since I'm already using Schwab onesource, I use Janus Fund, Janus Worldwide, Price Asia-Pacific, and Scudder Latin America. I'm thinking of dropping Columbia Special for Oakmark Special and Fremont Microcap.
Since Janus Fund is outside the one-source acct, it will be moved so I have one less fund family to deal with. Two substitutes I like are Safeco Equity No-Load and Benham Equity Growth.
