For a great weekend...try Savannah, Ga. Although I am quite sure this charming city has been overrun since the movie of "The Book"...hopefully things are settling down now. The accomodations are affordable and quite nice (B&Bs), several nice dining spots and pubs, the architecture is very unique for the southeast US, the antique shopping is without compare and the people couldn't be friendlier. The city is full of history and the renovations continue. When I need to recharge my battery...this is the place.
