I have spent far too much time trying this winter to find an e-reader which will handle all formats (Kindle, epub for Canadian public library books, MS Word, and PDF). My conclusion is that there isn't one. Neither Amazon's Kindle line nor KOBO stuff can do the job. I have a Kindle now, and like it for what it can do. Everything else I have to read on my conventional machines (mostly an older desktop), using a Kindle or epub app. This works fine, but I don't like having to sit up at a desktop conventional screen.

It would appear that the best alternative solution is a Tablet with a really good screen, sized just big enough to display most or all of a standard page. The Samsung S2 series seems pretty nice, if expensive. Anyone else wrestling with this issue? Recommendations welcome - I am suspicious of the durability of cheap tablets, but has anyone has bought one that has a really nice display and a record of not failing too early?

Regards, Tony.
