When Zip2 rolls out in '98 Iomega will have a better opportunity to alter the drives for rejecting competitor's disks in addition to lowering the cost of 100mn disks since the 200+MB disks will carry a price premium.

Think of the upgrade cycle the Zip2 will create as all of the Zip hardcores go out to get the latest and the greatest. This drive gets rid of the Sony threat and the Nomai threat. Iomega is not a static target.
