Gary--I agree that they will not want to see the revenue eliminated. In talking with George Harrison of Darlington Music, who has the pulse of the legislature better than I, he believes that they will vote for higher taxes (20%) which will double the revenue to $126 million and drop the license fee. He also believes that they will put in stricter regulations to control the action at the point of play and aim at controlling the mall operations.

There is no question that the industry needs to counter the anti-video poker sentiment fueled by the press. I have not seen the ads run by the industry that talk to revenue and jobs. These are mentioned in todays article about this being the #1 news story of the year for S.C. AB&G may consider spending a small amount of the recent $12 million to help offset this, especially now that there intrest in this industry surviving is so important to their bottom line.

You are correct,I have a tendency to talk to much and should have been more cautious when he identified himself as a reporter. Lesson learned
