1 - You don't need to brick the whole phone to protect the integrity of the feature.
If someone is trying to circumvent my security, damned straight I want them to 'brick" the phone.

"Disable" is another word for brick.

PS: Subsequent revisions to the OS have restored function to all legitimately "bricked" phones.
