Jefferson had his own version of the Bible. I saw a show on the Smithsonian Channel about it,
over the weekend.
Jefferson rearranged the passages in the New Testament in chronological order, to see if
he could glean deeper meaning from this different perspective. Apparently, some people of
his time considered him to be a deist, not necessarily Christian. Jefferson did acknowledge
the he was a "sect unto myself". The show was about the restoration of his Bible by the Smithsonian.
