Please check back for further updates.* Carson said in a statement on Wednesday that he decided not to attend the Fox News GOP Presidential Debate after the results of Super Tuesday. "I do not see a political path forward in light of last evening's Super Tuesday primary results," Carson said in a statement. He also promised that he would continue his "grassroots movement." While Carson has not formally suspended his campaign, he said in his statement that he will discuss the future of his movement during his speech on Friday at the Conservative Political Action Conference. Carson also said in a statement that he is not making campaign decisions based on financial constraints, but based on what he believes is in the best interest of the American people Carson and John Kasich are the only candidates who have yet to win a single state. Armstrong Williams, Carson's longtime business manager, tells the Associated Press it's "just the reality" that "there's only one candidate in this 2016 election on the GOP side, and his name is (Donald) Trump." Williams adds that Sens. Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz also "have no path" and should drop out. Two senior Carson staffers told NBC News that Carson is still planning to hold campaign events in Michigan, which holds its primary next Tuesday. Carson drew the national spotlight to him in October when he pushed past Donald Trump among party voters in some opinion polls in Iowa, which kicked off the state-by-state presidential nominating contests in February.
