So your previous sources didn't pan out for you and you had to dig something else up.

That was a proposal to eliminate tax expensing of intangible drilling costs. Of course, the alternative would be to capitalize them for tax purposes and deduct them over the life of the well. Either way, you get to deduct your costs, it's just a matter of when.
