I didn't apply "socialism" to Denmark, Krugman did and Wharf Rate quoted him doing it (or more specifically quoted "Occupy Democrats" quoting Krugman). I replied to Wharf Rat. I talked about socialism "broadly defined" because I was responding to their use of it in a broader definition, but also pointing out that isn't the only definition. Public ownership of a significant portion of the means of production is clearly a socialist situation. Some would also apply "socialism" to high tax social welfare states. Apparently Krugman, and Wharf Rat are in that group, at least on occasion if not consistently. You may not like that definition, but its common enough, and I wasn't the one bringing it up. What I "applied" to Denmark, was the recognition that it is successful largely because its economic freedom, lower (if not esp. low) corporate tax rate, and some other advantages, that are not primarily or not at all, aspects of it being socialist by either definition, despite Krugman's claim that " Democratic Socialism Has Made Denmark's Economy Best In World For Business"
