Funds falling at year end

Mutual funds lose a total of $9.48B during week ended December 23

NEW YORK (Reuters) - All stock funds lost an aggregate of $9.48 billion in the week ended Dec. 23 after losing $1.09 billion in the week ended Dec. 17, AMG Data Services said Friday.
According to AMG Data, aggressive growth funds lost $119 million in the week after losing $111 million in the previous week, while small cap growth funds lost $668 million compared with inflows of $144 million in the prior week.
Growth and income funds lost $1.58 billion in the week after losing $521 million in the week ended Dec. 17.
International equity funds saw outflows of $1.64 billion, up from previous outflows of $307 million, AMG said.
Technology funds lost $326 million after taking in $59 million in the week ended Dec. 17, while real estate funds lost $202 million in the latest week after small inflows.
But utility funds took in $31 million for the week, after taking in $56 million in the prior week, AMG said.
Healthcare and biotech funds lost $71 million in the Dec. 23 week after seeing $75 million in outflows in the previous week, it said.
