Joey, Your profit forcast for AMD first half might be right on. AMD diversification makes it almost impossible for Intel to drive AMD out of business. Simply stated Intel can't get it's hands completly around AMD neck. The longer they try the more costly it will be for Intel. Stockholders will flee. Some will revolt. Blood sport gameplaying is not the image of conservative investing. Also The Harder they chook the more obivous their actions are to the DOJ. Right now everyone dismisses the reprocussions of the US goverment investigation. but right now Intel is under the Microscope. Stratigicaly do you think the US is stronger if only one company makes CPU's. If some general in the pentigon tells a big military contractor to go secure a second soucre of CPU before a $100 billion contract is awarded are you going to tell me that they would not go do it. AMD new flash at 1.8 volts pretty much obsolete's Intel falsh offerings and Intel has already posponed its plans for a new flash plant in TX. Bottom line is AMD will be able to offer a CPU productline sufficiently differentiated enought to migate or aviod further future price cutting action by Intel. Go compair roadmaps.
