SDRL was priced for BK and now that Fredrikson will support the company w/ a capital infusion (he already purchased a lot of the outstanding Bonds), the common shares will/should survive. The rumor was that a preferred stock would be issued and/or a secondary to fix the balance sheet. Today's event is company specific.

I have been building up my SDRL position in hopes that Fredrikson would eventually support the company/stock and then ride the cycle higher if/when it turns in 12-36 months.

I like that he is now stepping in and committing some of his capital especially from the sale of a portion of his fish farm business MHG.

At some time their dividend will be reinstated but that will only occur when the industry turns maybe 18 months but probably longer.
