I posted on CCB board: FYI: definition of inferred re google Infer-- verb inferred - past tense deduce or conclude (information) from evidence and reasoning rather than from EXPLICIT statements. "from these facts we can infer that crime is increasing." SYNONYMS: deduce, conclude, conjecture, surmise, reason. interpret, gather understanding, presume, ASSUME , extrapolate- read between the lines- figure (out) reckon. "Is it really possible to INFER that a crime was committed given the FLIMSY EVIDENCE?"
