They get caught up in the "everybody hates him" game. The reason everybody hates him is because he does what he says he'll do and doesn't play the DC game. He and Mike Lee have the purest conservative records in congress and they have no friends in Wash DC. Cutting the budget makes enemies out of a lot of people including republicans.
