Is there something wrong with your figures? Today's p/e should yield a price of 120 not 177 or are you projecting 1999 earnings onto today's p/e. If so, then it would seem that if the p/e drop so would the p/e. There is also the possibility that if this market continues, that a p/e of 35 would be unacceptable.
