Hello everyone

It has been some time since I posted on SI and given the recent news and PDAC I wanted to add to what Glorieux and Ejason have reported.

To begin with those of us who were there from SI are serious Zen longs. We know the project, the numbers, the macro picture and carefully watch this investment. I want to emphasize that we asked pointed, direct, detailed, professional questions. We may feel like cursing a blue streak but what would that accomplish? We asked at length and had free access to the Zen staff throughout the day. All of the staff answered thoughtfully thoroughly or qualified their answers by saying that they could not disclose more.

Specifically, in regards to money, I asked Aubrey whether they have a tactical and strategic plan with backups that is supported by the board. He answered in the affirmative. He also expanded on a backup and discussed his rationale for not exercising his options. This is a CEO that works diligently, professionally and with integrity. We may not agree with his methods, we may not approve of some choices but we are where we are today because the entire Zen team contributes and brings a wealth experience to the table.

In terms of traffic my attention was primarily focused on conversations with members of the team thus I cannot say that I noticed a great deal of foot traffic through the Zen booth. The show itself was sparse in terms of attendance and I would subjectively say it was the lowest turnout I have ever seen.

That said let me expand a bit on what Dr. Chahar was saying to myself Ejason and others in regards to the Zen purity, target markets and upgrading. Recall the AGM (Oct '15)wherein an excellent question was put to Dr. Chahar regarding a sliding scale in terms of getting a final purity from the flow sheet vs returns on selling the product into certain markets. Dr. Chahar indicated that we can upgrade our purity to much higher levels and that there is a large boost in selling price albeit at a much smaller total amount of product. They went with a purity that worked for a number of markets thereby ensuring that they could sell the tonnage they produce.

Thus we have a balance in the current PEA numbers for a process that gives us access to a broad array of markets into which the company; and the research conducted by third parties, showed an ability to enter and capture market share.

To juxtapose this I asked how high Zen could purify and this is where the 6 N comment came from. But let me take it a step further and do the math to show how much of a difference and a head start Zen has.

Zen: 99.94% C from purification process. Prior to thermal

907KG/T x .9994% =.5442 grams of byproduct not removed

VS.

Another graphite supplier 95% C floatation concentrate. Prior to Thermal

907 kg x .95% = 45.35 kg of byproduct not removed.

-note I have omitted the tiny amount still left at 6N -

Conceptually for both graphites to be upgraded thermally to 6N we would see Zen burn off a bit more than half a kilo versus over 45 kilos in the second example. That is 83 times MORE material that has to be removed than what Zen starts with. Consider the time.. the cost of inputs … the amount of filters required –so as not to pollute the environment-- in order to achieve the same result. This is why the Zen team is confident that they can compete in any market and have a better cost structure and lets remember Zen is “Naturally Pure” TM

Best wishes all

Mongo
