Doesn't this sound like Novell's "Border Manager"???

From Electronic News On-Line (http://www.sumnet.com/enews/columns/datop121597.html)

"...Sun Microsystems unveiled products designed to help business and telecommunications network managers manage Internet growth and deliver tailored information over the Web. Among new products are the Netra Proxy Cache Server for fast Internet access. The server's ability to cache and replicate frequently-visited Web sites, Sun said, leads to lower connectivity costs. Sun also announced hardware and software support for new Web sites, where financial information can be tailored to a user's personal financial portfolio and cross-referenced with common financial industry indices. Those sites connected with established media outlets will be provided through Java technology and Sun servers..."

Did Novell patent the Border Manager product or is the concept too broad to patent?....Maybe they need to market it more or even integrate it with Sun's new product.
