go to Constantine in 325 a.d. on the net. You will find the marriage of the Roman panatheon of gods and the Romish Church under Constantine. Christmas was the ancient festival of Saturnalia. You can find that in the older encylopedias, where it says that from DEC 17th UNTIL THE END OF THE MONTH--14 DAYS--they went from house to house exchanging little images of the Mother Goddess--probably DIane or Cybele, whatever they called ""her"
(actually Lucifer in drag). The festival was topped off by the ultimate horror, usually. That rather explains the aethiests' slow attempts to get it back to paganism, if you think about it is not exactly hard to comprehend. Actually, the spring celebration of Christmas is interesting if there ever was one. t
