Years ago I took the kids to a WWE event here and let me tell you, the real show isn't in the ring. Those WWE fans are nuts. At a WWE event you're surrounded by thousands of people on their feet, jumping up and down, screaming at the wrestlers. They know the personas of the performers and come with signs promoting those they like. I'm gathering that Trump (who has a history with WWE) rallies are becoming WWE-like type shows. The protestors become part of the show as Trump baits and berates them and they're thrown out.
“Get him out! Try not to hurt him. If you do, I’ll defend you in court,” he said earlier this month as a protester was escorted out of a rally in Warren, Mich.
“You know what they used to do to guys like that when they were in a place like this? They’d be carried out in a stretcher, folks,” Trump said after a protester interrupted a Las Vegas rally in February.
“I’d like to punch him in the face, I tell ya,” he added moments later.
Here in St. Louis, he said the protesters “are so bad for our country, folks, you have no idea, you have no idea. They contribute nothing.”
Looks like this is getting out of hand but it's still helping Trump. If an event is canceled he gets an entire night of nonstop coverage on the news channels. Last night the news channels were nonstop Trump Chicago for hours. Now he's learned he can get even more coverage by canceling an event. He's going to cancel an event in Cincinnati next week.
