Excellent recount of the events. I strongly agree, FUBHO.

Peaceful protests are one thing. I have no problem with that. Well, actually I do, because I wish we could live in a country where we all agree on most major issues and protests aren't necessary, but that's my personal ideal, not relality. In reality, we live under the U.S. Constitution, so I respect the right of someone to peacefully protest.

The problems start when miscreants form the idea to violently protest by disrupting, terrorizing, assaulting, and murdering innocent people. There is really only one solution to deal with violent threats like that. We need a much stronger police force that is equipped on the surface and in the air with effective tools like the one in the video below:

Law and order must be maintained. Those who obey the law will have no problems. When violent riots break out, the rioters should be quelled with the appropriate force. Those who do not are risking their own lives and limbs. To put it another way, if a violent mob is assaulting, burning, looting, murdering, raping, pillaging, and plundering innocent people and victimizing everyone in sight, I would have absolutely no problem with the police opening fire and killing every last one of them who are caught in the act. That's really the only way to stop violent perpetrators from hurting and killing innocent people. To hell with rubber bullets, gas canisters, and tazers. The police should open fire with maximum-power ammo, and be absolutely certain that the perps won't be returning to hurt anyone else. If I were on a jury in the aftermath, I would NEVER vote to convict a police officer who took such action.
