David, aren't these issues that ALL TOOL VENDORS and CONVERSION HOUSES will face ? Are you trying to state that only CSGI will have problems because clients don't know how much code they have or what the different platforms may be ?

Obviously these are the reasons that the Year 2000 problem should of been addressed years ago. This is also the reason that the delays that have taken place are guaranteed to cause a bottleneck.

You continue to state that:
---------------------------------------------------------------------

And, please, please let's not loose sight of the fact that CSGI is only attempting to address the smallest part of the complete problem... remdiation/fixing.

- 33% planning (this includes inventory, assessment, impact, etc.)
- 17% fixing/coding <-- where CSGI fits
- 25% unit test (remember that Motorola pilot is still waiting to be tested!!)
- 25% system test.
-------------------------------------------------------------------

You posted something similar here a while back and I asked where will most of the money be spent ?

In other words, in a normal conversion project, which part will most of the costs be incurred ?

If a company spends 10% of the budget on assessment and the rest on conversion and testing, then it is irrelevant what percent each stage is. It is more important to see HOW MUCH EACH STAGE WILL COST

If conversion is only 17% of the entire problem, yet it requires 30% or 40% of the budget, then it is not as small as are trying to indicate.
