VB 5.0 does not have such a requirement. I am using connection points for firing events from the server side to the client. This makes for a very clean and simple event driven client-server design. While I could hand code such a solution, it might take a year to fully design, implement, and debug. Rod, you are not just debating me, you are debating the entire Windows development community. Like it or not, com is MS's solution for Windows App dev. It works well,and the support tools are getting excellent. Take a good look a t the bulk of Windows SW available. Check out how much of it is COM in some part. Get real dude.
