IMHO, Sony/Fuji has no intention of ever releasing the HiFud. I think they are using it as a negotiating ploy to become licensees and not just "co-branders"(Fuji that is). If they were to become licensees they would make more $$$ and their clout in the channel would ensure that Zip wins. If they are going to make some serious $$$...they will keep everybody else out of the market.

I don't know what I would do if I were IOM....one licensee for Zip disks might not be all that bad.

But I don't think its going to happen.
